Fronius & Jinko are what we like to call, the “Kim And Kanye” of Solar combos. A power couple, rarely seen in public together, but paired together on thousands, upon thousands, of Aussie households.
Kanye is Fronius. Or the Feronius, as some people say. The “real OG” of Solar. Fronius is the oldest company on the block. They opened shop in 1945, during World War 2, and they say they started out making batteries. They became a welding company. Welding needs an inverter so they got really, really, good at making inverters. Now they are the only European made solar inverter on our shores. They’re a premium inverter. Nothing says “mate, give me the best inverter you’ve got” like a ferocious, red, Fronius.
Kim is Jinko. Having an early, but memorable, start to her film career, she randomly graced our news feeds one day. No one remembers exactly when she got famous, but she’s a household name these days. Jinko is the biggest solar company on the plant. They are printing solar panels like they are going out of fashion, yet still innovating every day. They even have a half-cut cell out now. They are a Chinese run of the mill panel that we’ve never had a problem with and we are happy with Jinko, as are thousands of Aussies with 20-something Jinko panels on their roofs.
25 year performance warranty on the Jinko Solar Panels. They’re the biggest, and maybe the best. Everything is done by machines, some say they even have robot salesman!
The Fronius inverter is from Austria. They’re made there and my boss has even been to the factory. He was impressed. They have a 10 year warranty and that’s good enough for us.
Customers who go for the Fronius plus Jinko combo want the panel that everyone has and the inverter that everyone has. If anything happened to either of these brands, I swear there’ll be a Royal Commission because they’re that popular in Australia.
